West Best Bloc Fest has quickly become a staple of the Newcastle music scene.
For one day only, 10 stages across 9 venues in the heart of Midtown, Newcastle West will come alive with over 300 local musicians, showcasing the incredible depth and diversity of our city's music scene.
Leading this year's lineup is acclaimed Australian songwriter William Crighton, joined by an outstanding lineup of Newcastle artists .
More than just a festival, West Best Bloc Fest is a celebration of Newcastle's creative community—supporting local artists, venues and businesses while bringing thousands of music lovers together for one unforgettable day.

ALL AGES
New for 2026, West Best Bloc Fest introduces a dedicated all-ages program, giving younger music fans the chance to experience the festival and discover some of Newcastle’s best emerging local artists.
All ages tickets grant access to 6 stages across participating venues, including a custom all ages activation.
IMPULSE RESPONSE DAYCLUB
The first of our announced collaborations this year, Impulse Response are taking over Bernie’s Bar for a fully electronic lineup, headlined by Assembler Code delivering a unique modular synth live set.
Outside, Red Bull are setting up a laneway garden, with face painting, Tarty Party bringing Cam Time + Interviews, and a whole lot of Bernie’s fun.
NIMA X MARU HI FI
West Best Bloc Fest teams up with the Newcastle Improvised Music Association (NIMA) for a dedicated jazz program at Maru HiFi. Curated by NIMA, the collaboration brings together some of Newcastle's finest jazz and improvised musicians in one of the city's most intimate listening spaces.
